W. W. Law, also known as Westley Wallace Law, was born in Savannah, Georgia on 1 January 1923 and grew up on the west side of Savannah. He attended Savannah public schools and graduated from Georgia State College (now Savannah State University) with a bachelor's degree in biology. By profession, Law was a letter carrier for the post office for 44 years, ending his career in 1990.
